Fresh off his departure from WWE, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair will be returning to the UK to appear 1PW's latest event at the Doncaster Domeo on October 18. According to a 1PW spokesman, "Ric will be doing an autograph session and a Q&A at the Doncaster Dome between 12pm and 2pm and on the show later that night".
1PW (One Pro Wrestling) is a UK-based promotion that has often relied heavily (some may argue too heavily) on "brand names" from America, rather than homegrown British talent. At one point, it looked like the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, but they managed to gather enough money and resources together to keep going.
A 1PW spokesman said that "The new management team of 1PW has a goal and that is to bring you high-quality wrestling and entertainment."
The 1PW show on October 18 will also feature a 1PW World Heavyweight Title Match, between the champion Sterling James Keenan and the challenger Raven.
Former 1PW stars such as Steve Corino, Ulf Herman, Johnny Storm and Jody Fleisch will also be on hand.
